Imagine a piece of unique Textile Art adorning the walls in your own home

Recently finished the Lonely tree at LLanberis. Layers of Organzas creating the clouds. Distant mountains in cottons and the tree centre stage.

I create Original Textile Landscapes that translate local scenery into layered pieces  with texture and embroidery.
A unique piece evoking a special time and place

I have a creative studio based on the beautiful Isle of Anglesey and I am dedicated to creating unique one-of-a-kind artworks that celebrate the beauty, of both the fabrics and the stunning local landscapes here in North Wales. I love to include local views and water into my art.

Rooted in respect for materials, I choose ethically sourced or generously gifted textiles, where possible, using them through applique and machine embroidery. I also create my own fabrics from scraps that would otherwise end up in landfill.

My purpose is to transform these fabrics into meaningful pieces that embody care, creativity, and conscious craftsmanship. With each creation, I aim to inspire appreciation for my  art—where  uniqueness and ethical practice are inseparable. With my art you should constantly see different effects in the piece depending on the light. These effects are caused by using a variety of fabric including silks cottons and organzas, which are layered before stitching. I value sustainability, authenticity, and the connection between myself and material, guiding every stitch. I approach challenges with enthusiasm for the subject, always seeking ways to widen my knowledge.

I can also share this creative process with you in person through my textile art workshops

Landscape Creations

Unique Fabric Combinations

All Things Textiles

Each landscape piece captures the beauty of nature with texture and vibrant colors. Water is one of my favourite subjects. Waves all stitched with machine embroidery.

When not creating landscape pictures I'm still found at the sewing machine creating cushions, bunting and machine embroidered items

I utilize a wide range of fabrics to create depth and intrigue in my artwork. Inspiration often comes from a piece of fabric. I try to use all pieces of fabric no matter how tiny. These small pieces are used to create my own new fabric which gives more realism to my art.

Testimonials

Geraldine Hedderick, based in Anglesey, North Wales creates unique, one of a kind artworks using fabric, inspired by our stunning local landscapes. Last year Geraldine generously created a beautiful piece for our heritage charity, depicting MSOD sailing boats on the Menai Strait, which we raffled to raise funds. The artwork perfectly captured the true essence of movement, heritage and the spirit of sailing, woven into a distinctive piece.
Visitors to the event were mesmerised by the artwork. and its presence
undoubtedly helped encourage raffle ticket sales/.
Menai Strait Heritage Sailing would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Geraldine for her hard work, creativity., and generosity in gifting us such a special, one- of- a kind piece that so beautifully reflects our charity and celebrates the wonder of the MSOD class.  Thank you Geraldine from all of us at Menai Straits Heritage Sailing

Such a special wedding present!
Beautifully captures the place we got engaged.
A gift we will cherish forever        Amy

Absolutely love it. The attention to detail. I did not consider picturing the Lodge from this perspective but I it works. Geraldine spent time discussing what would work and kept me up to date through the whole process. Have recommended her to others

After seeing a post of Geraldine's work, I commissioned a custom piece of our family cottage. From the start Geraldine was professional, knowledgeable and clearly possess a true gift. When I gave it to my mum for Christmas she was moved to tears - and she is definitely not a crier! Thank you, Geraldine for creating a beautiful family heirloom that I know will be passed down through the generations

Geraldine made this as an 80th birthday gift for my sister. She had no room for wall art so she made it as a cushion. As children we lived in the house pictured and we have fond memories of childhood spent there. She changed details so that it was the same as it was when we were children. A beautiful creation. Thank you
